Patient data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, on UK/EEA-based infrastructure.

Does Coherent integrate with Phorest?
Yes. Coherent connects through Phorest's API, using API access that Phorest switches on for your business at your request. It reads your appointment history, and your patient coordinator books approved appointments into Phorest.
Does Coherent need an API key?
Phorest switches on API access for your business when you ask, so that's the simplest way to connect. Coherent doesn't depend on it, though: we also work with PMSs that have no API key at all.
Is Coherent a CRM for Phorest?
Yes. Coherent Engage is a healthcare CRM that runs patient follow-up programmes on your Phorest data, with patient coordinators handling the replies.
Do we need to change PMS?
No. Phorest stays your system of record, and your team keeps working in it as they do today.
Does it work across several Phorest branches?
Yes. Coherent reads each appointment's branch and staff member, so messages come from the patient's own clinic and practitioner.
We already send appointment reminders from Phorest. Do we need Coherent?
Phorest's reminders cover appointments already in the diary. Coherent works on the patients with no next appointment: those due their next treatment, those who cancelled and the enquiries that never booked.
How do we stop the connection?
Ask Phorest to switch off your API access and Coherent's access ends.
