Joëlle Rotsaert on building an injectables brand around approachable luxury — and why the clinic experience, the booking team and the operating system all have to grow together.
“Sales and front of house are just two completely different things.”— Joëlle Rotsaert
Joëlle Rotsaert, co-founder of Injectual, joins Jared to unpack the thinking behind an aesthetic clinic designed to feel less like a traditional medical setting and more like an accessible luxury experience. Her route into aesthetics was personal, followed by roles at Harley Academy and Cavendish Clinic, where she saw rapid clinic growth first-hand. At Injectual, that experience became a clear point of view: focus the brand on injectables, make the experience feel welcoming and considered, and do not become a clinic that is known for everything and stands for nothing.
They trace the patient journey from the first social post through to the appointment and aftercare. Joëlle explains why Injectual puts its injectors and team visibly at the centre of its content, alongside education, before-and-afters and formats that are native to social media. In clinic, safety remains non-negotiable, but she argues the experience does not need to feel cold or impersonal. The discussion also makes room for an honest gap: keeping patients cared for once they leave the clinic needs an intentional follow-up process, not just good intentions.
The conversation then turns to the less glamorous work behind growth. Joëlle shares hard-won lessons on opening sites, building a team and separating booking from front-of-house work. A busy reception team cannot also own every enquiry, follow-up and conversion conversation; bookings need their own focus, systems and willingness to test the channels patients actually use. As Injectual looks beyond its early sites, Joëlle’s challenge is to tighten the operational plumbing — memberships, inventory, reporting and people — without losing the personal quality that made the brand distinctive in the first place.
Coherent gives private clinics one patient relationship engine, recovering revenue lost at enquiry, recall and billing.
